St Johns Shopping Centre have teamed up with Claire House Children’s Hospice as its official charity partner.
Through the month of December, there will be a number of fundraising events in St Johns, including some very special visits from the official Claire House mascot.
Speaking of the partnership, St Johns centre manager Robert Bradley says: “The work carried out by Claire House is truly invaluable to so many families across Liverpool. Their team of trained professionals is devoted to providing much-needed medical and emotional support in a safe and comfortable space for seriously and terminally ill children and their families. They work with parents and children in our city during the toughest times of their lives, and we at St Johns are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this work.
“Showing support for the many families who rely on Claire House is important not just to those of us from St Johns, but to the entire community who I know will be keen to take part in any fundraising or events which help raise money for this important and worthwhile cause.”
Dan Halliday, Liverpool Community Fundraiser from Claire House, says: “Our partnership with St John’s Shopping Centre is going to allow us to tell so many people what their local children’s hospice is all about and why we need their support. Here at Claire House, we provide much needed care for seriously and terminally ill children and their families in the heart of our community. We’re excited to build our partnership with the staff and customers of St John’s, meaning we can help more families who need us most.”
