Claire House Children’s Hospice is asking for people in the Bromborough area to go through their drawers and cupboards and dig out any unwanted Christmas presents, clothes, toys and bric-a-brac to help re-stock the local charity shop that was badly damaged in a fire last weekend.
“The fire was a real tragedy for our Bromborough shop and the staff and volunteers who work so hard to make it a success. Every day this shop is closed means that we are not raising desperately needed funds to help seriously and terminally ill children. What we need now is as much support from the public as possible to get back on our feet.
“So far we have been really touched by messages from well-wishes and offers of support from people in the local area, so we are hoping that our pop-up donation station will be a big success,” says Simon Dodd, Head of Retail at Claire House.
The pop-up donation station will be in the carpark behind the shop in The Rake on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th January from 10am – 2pm. For those who cannot make it to the shop, other shops in the area will also be taking donations.
