Elegant Resorts Raises Funds for Claire House

Elegant Resorts, a Chester based luxury travel company, has raised £348 for local children’s hospice, Claire House, through their annual staff raffle. The raffle was kindly supported by many of their business partners including hotels, airlines and tourist boards from around the world.

Established in 1998, Claire House helps seriously ill children to live life to the full, whilst also providing emotional support and specialist nursing care to children and families across Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales.

After raising the money, Sarah Sibeon and Lucy Evans of Elegant Resorts were invited to tour the hospice, meet the staff and see the fantastic facilities – including the multi-sensory entertainment room, art room, hydrotherapy pool and jacuzzi.

After completing the tour and hand delivering the donation, Elegant Resorts was delighted to be contacted by a parent of one of the children who benefits from the care of Claire House. She gave a personal account of how staff at the hospice make such a difference to her and her sons’ lives, as well as thanking the company for their support.

Sarah Sibeon, HR Manager at Elegant Resorts said: “We are delighted to have raised this money for our friends at Claire House, and we are extremely grateful to our staff who made the fundraising such a success. Having visited the hospice, we have seen first-hand how the staff help terminally ill children to live life to the full by creating wonderful and memorable experiences. Nothing is too much trouble for the team, who provide everything from nursing care through to “Dinosaur” themed entertainment days……complete with 7ft dinosaurs! It really is a magical place.”

Earlier this year Elegant Resorts launched “Elegant Cares”. As part of this initiative the company are raising funds for local and national charities throughout the year.

Thank you to all of the staff at Elegant Resorts!
