Different people have different reason’s for choosing to support Claire House Children’s Hospice, find out why Clare is running the London marathon for her local children’s hospice.
“Claire House have been at quite a few local runs I have participated in; I was looking for a local charity to support and just reading their website page made me cry. I thought I’ve got to help these families. It was as simple as that.
“Training to take part in the London Marathon has taught me that I’m stronger than I think I am. I’ve suffered a few niggles, but I’ve seen a sports therapist and he has helped me to become even stronger.
“I can’t wait to run down the mall and give the Queen a wave as I pass Buckingham Palace. Running the same course as my idol Paula Radcliffe is an absolute dream come true!”
If you would like to be on the London Marathon start line in a Claire House Running Vest this time next year, enter our ballot for one of our charity places and run for your local children’s hospice.
