BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent brought some festive cheer to Port Sunlight village this week (Tuesday 3rd December 2019) as she hosted an evening of Christmas carols in aid of Claire House Children’s Hospice.
The local TV presenter and journalist joined Claire House families and supporters for the charity’s Carols and Candles event in Christ Church, Port Sunlight, raising money to support seriously and terminally ill children cared for by the hospice.
The event sponsored by Bradshaw Farnham & Lea featured readings from Claire House siblings, parents and young people, as well as the Vale of Clywd Singers from North Wales who joined the congregation in a host of Christmas carols to mark the festive season.
The event raised over £7,000 to support the work of Claire House Children’s Hospice. Money raised over the festive season will allow the charity to reach out to more families as well as provide the very best care for over 300 families from across the region.
Event Fundraiser Rachel Handley said: “It was wonderful to see so many people come to support their local children’s hospice at such an important time of year and we’re delighted Sally was able to join us.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who was a part of the evening, including our sponsors Bradshaw Farnham & Lea, for making it a festive event to remember and allowing us to reach out to many more families who need our support, not just at Christmas, but throughout the year.”
Claire House are hosting a Carol Concert in the Concert Room at St Georges Hall on Monday 16th December and tickets are available here.
