We’re looking for a friendly, passionate and enthusiastic volunteer to help us find new raffle prizes. These prizes are used at fundraising events to help raise vital funds and give our supporters a wonderful experience.
Due the pandemic and less footfall in the fundraising building, we’re now running low on raffle prizes. So, we’d love a volunteer to help us get and about in the local community again and kindly ask businesses for prize donations.
Tasks will include:
- Finding businesses you think may be able to donate prizes
- Asking those businesses for donations on our behalf
- If possible, organising the collection of those items and bring them to the Fundraising Building
- Fill in a form to log the businesses” details
You’ll get a letter of authority in addition to all the training and information you’ll need beforehand. It’ll be done on an ad-hoc basis, so there’s no specific time commitment. You just need to be passionate about making a difference and enjoy meeting new people. This role can be done from the comfort of your own home too!
We’re looking for a real people-person for this role. Someone who is confident, respectful and outgoing. You’ll need to have a charming nature and be able to ask for things without making a business feel pressured or uncomfortable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative are crucial. We’ll be particularly focusing on the Liverpool area, so a knowledge of this area would be beneficial.
