Do you have creative flair? Enjoy photography? Are you a people-person? Want to make a difference in your local community?
We’re looking for some talented volunteer photographers to help capture images of our volunteers in action across the region. The images will be used online, in Claire House publications and in local media, helping to shine a spotlight on the importance of our amazing volunteers.
This is a role that offers fantastic personal development opportunities (particularly for those who are studying/have studied media or photography). Volunteers will assist us with creating and designing content (primarily for social media and newsletter use). This could involve writing up volunteer profiles, covering the latest news from shops and celebrating volunteers who hold their own fundraising events. There will be great variety offered in this role and we want to give volunteers the freedom to express their creativity and share their ideas!
Based in your own local community, this role will be very flexible. A monthly list of opportunities will be sent out in addition to offering volunteers to chance to arrange their own suitable dates to visit local shops for photoshoots. All that you’ll need is a friendly and approachable nature, an interest in photography and a good camera (this could even be your smartphone!).
You’ll receive full training, ongoing support and supervision. You will also be provided with a clear creative brief before undertaking each task.
Please note that we strongly recommend volunteer photographers have their own insurance cover for their own protection and peace of mind. Damage to and theft of a volunteer’s equipment is NOT covered and remains the responsibility of each volunteer.
