We’re looking for a confident volunteer to take the lead on engaging young supporters through our newly created volunteering awards for those aged 8-18. You’ll provide assistance to those who have signed up, including guidance, information and responding to enquiries.
Tasks will include:
- Welcoming new sign-ups via email
- Adding new sign-ups to our database, spreadsheet and dedicated Mail Chimp
- Answer questions, respond to enquiries and provide further information to those who need it
- Ensuring young supporters get a thank you certificate and badge at the end of their award
- Promoting other awards and opportunities on completion

You’ll need to be a real people-person, passionate about working with young people and able to use your own initiative. We’re looking for a highly organised person with great attention to detail and who is confident working independently. Excellent IT skills are essential and an understanding of databases would be hugely beneficial. Please note you will need to have access to your own laptop and use of Outlook, Office 365 and Microsoft Excel.
This role is remotely-based and will be done from the comfort of your own home. We imagine for this role to provide the best support possible, you’ll need to dedicate at least one hour a week to ensure all the tasks are completed in a timely manner and supporters feel well communicated with. This may increase up to 4 hours at busier times (e.g. summer holidays).
We’ll provide you with all the information and training you’ll need for the role (including a face-to-face induction) as well as ongoing support when needed.
