Do you enjoy researching? Have experience of working in a clinical environment? Want to help make a difference to children and families? Then become a Volunteer Clinical Research Assistant.

We’re looking for a volunteer to help us research different services available in our catchment area which can provide support to families who no longer meet Claire House’s criteria. You’ll use your skills and knowledge to research what other services and support is out there for poorly children (particularly those with complex health needs).

At Claire House we want to go above and beyond to support families and empower them on their journeys. By assisting with this research, you’ll enable us to do this and help us to give families the guidance and information they need to make the right decisions for them.

Remotely-based and on an ad-hoc basis, this is the perfect opportunity if you’re looking for something flexible to fit around everything else you may have going on. You’ll need to use your own laptop/computer and use Google, Microsoft Excel and your own local knowledge. Regular supervision will be provided.

We’re looking for someone who is determined, motivated, confident, able to work independently and use their own initiative. Good communication and IT skills are essential. Prospective volunteers should  understand the needs of our children and families.

This role is perfect if you’re looking to make a big difference in a short time or if you’ve recently stepped back from clinical care and would like to use your knowledge to help others. All you’ll need is to commit 2-3 hours of your time each week for 6-8 weeks and everything will be done remotely.
