Salary £21,730 - £23,177 pro rata

The Hospice care team look after physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs – we know the importance that food has in this holistic care – the impact of providing home comforts for families can never be underestimated.
We are investing in the expansion of the team who can provide this support through their catering provision, who can adapt to change, and offer a flexible, proactive, and positive approach to our catering needs.
The Hospice Cook will work closely with the Head Cook, to provide a seven-day service, planning, preparing and delivering nutritious meals for the children, families, staff and visitors. You’ll be a close-knit team who work closely with clinical staff and others helping to shape an outstanding catering service.
The post will be based at our Wirral site with occasional support to the Liverpool site as needed. We welcome informal visits where you can see the kitchen facilities and ask any questions.
We recognise that working in a children’s hospice is very different to that of the NHS and sometimes applicants are not sure which role best suits their experience.
