Do you have a passion for equality, diversity and inclusion? Do you want to make a difference in your local community? Want a flexible volunteering opportunity you can fit around your own schedule?
This role will provide ongoing support to our Equality and Diversity group. It’s an exciting role which will be vital in helping us to promote inclusion at Claire House and in the wider community. Topics may include gender equality, race, religion, faith, belief, sexuality, LGBTQ+, age and more!
Tasks may include:
- Researching community groups we can contact
- Develop a diversity calendar for 2022 (highlight which events we can celebrate)
- Research and share best practice from other organisations
- Find resources we can share
- Provide general support to the E&D Team, including admin tasks and organisational support
We’re looking for a real people person who is passionate about their local community! Volunteers should be enthusiastic about promoting diversity and understand the importance of inclusion. A friendly and approachable nature is vital! Volunteers should be able to use their own initiative and be confident working independently. A flexible team player would be perfect!
This role will be based remotely, meaning you can volunteer from the comfort of your own home. There’s no specific time commitment either! You can choose to provide ongoing support (e.g. a couple of hours each week) or just help with a one-off project – it’s up to you! We just want to hear your ideas and give you the opportunity to share your enthusiasm and skills.
