Claire House would like to thank everyone who has supported their Saughall Massie charity shop over the last 19 years.
The charity has made the difficult decision to close the charity shop as of the 17th January 2020.
The reason this decision has been made is due to a number of factors; mainly that the shop is not making a profit and therefore is no longer contributing to the funds required to support the children and families the hospice care for.
Gillian Nove, Head of Income Generation at Claire House, said: “As a charity, every penny counts and if there are areas of the organisation that are making a loss, we need to look at these objectively and make the changes required, however difficult.
“Our team at Saughall Massie are ambassadors of the charity and the effect that has on the hospice and surrounding areas is not to be under-estimated. This is obviously upsetting for all affected by this decision and we will be doing our utmost to make this process as smooth as possible for everyone concerned.”
