McKenzie Madison is taking on seven challenges around the world to help support Claire House Children’s Hospice.
McKenzie, 25, who completed the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon in February will take part in challenges including the Inca Trail Marathon in June and a four-week trek to Everest Base Camp where he will then run the world’s highest marathon in November.
Prompted by the loss of his nephew Oliver, McKenzie began running. “Losing my nephew taught me that no matter how small a person or how short a life, you have the ability to touch the hearts of others and have an impact upon them. So I chose to run, run for others giving what I can along the way,” said McKenzie.
McKenzie, who works for online retailer Shop Direct, is raising money for Claire House as part of the £400,000 Shop Direct have pledged to raise through colleague activities and events.
