Claire House makes contact with 1,200 supporters

Claire House Children’s Hospice has teamed up with The Contact Company to thank supporters who have donated, volunteered, or given to its charity shops over the last few months.

The call centre giants, based in Birkenhead, hosted a thank you telethon earlier this month, with the aim of letting supporters know how their donations and time had been spent and the difference it had made to local children and their families.

22 members of staff from The Contact Company volunteered their time to take part in the two-hour event.

Having thanked over 1,200 supporters, this was the biggest and most ambitious thank you session the charity has completed.

Rebecca Ball, Project and Process Coordinator at The Contact Company: said:  “We’ve never heard of a charity doing this before. It’s a lovely gesture to show supporters and volunteers that Claire House are thankful for their donation and time.”

Since staff at The Contact Company voted Claire House Children’s Hospice as their charity of the year, they have taken part in monthly fundraisers, Tough Mudder and organised a talent show in aid of the charity.

Over 80% of the income the charity receives coming from donations, Claire House relies on the generosity of the local community to provide the very best care.

Jess Campbell, Claire House Corporate Fundraiser, said: “We have a wonderful partnership with The Contact Company and they have helped our annual thank you event to be even bigger and better. We are so proud to be partnered with a company so committed to supporting their local community.”
